Calvert Democrats Weekend of Action
This past weekend the Calvert County Democrats held a Weekend of Action and what a weekend it was! We got the weekend started on Thursday when we had a sign waving event by the Fairview Library greeting folks driving by and showing our Democratic Party pride and we didn’t stop there.
Friday night we held a postcard writing party via Zoom, where we got together and wrote postcards to Calvert County Democrats until our hands cramped! We talked about speaking from the heart and telling our story on the postcards to fellow Calvert County Democrats. We had a wonderful evening, listened to postcard and mail themed music, and had a drawing for a set of gel pens in 5 colors, perfect for writing eye-catching postcards! Saturdays are the day for phone banking! Did you know you can call voters from the comfort of your home? You absolutely can and it’s so easy to do! Together and individually, have been reaching out to Calvert County Democratic voters to share information about voting during the pandemic. Want to make your calls to swing states? Well, the Biden Campaign has you covered with training and call times whenever you are ready to log in!
On Sunday, we gathered a great group of volunteers to Prince Frederick for another sign waving rally! We had so many supportive honks and a great reception. We even received some messages from passers by who wanted to let us know how much they appreciated seeing us out there. Of course that always makes us happy to hear! We always have a blast just being together and feeling that excitement.
After the sign waving was over, we had a yard sign distribution day at our office! Yes, you heard it right, our Biden-Harris yard signs are HERE! We had a wonderful turnout of folks picking up signs and bumper stickers to show their support for Team Biden-Harris all over Calvert County! Get yours today!
Over the weekend, we reached out to countless voters both in Calvert County and across the country, letting them know how/when/where they can vote and encouraging them to get involved and make a plan to be a voter! Each voter we call, is another step closer to electing Joe Biden as our next president, as well as Democrats up and down the ticket. That’s also how we Hold the House and Flip the Senate!
